| At the Gold Forum Americas conference held last week in Denver Colorado, VRB Energy and the use of its large scale vanadium redox storage batteries was cited in presentations for Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. by Chairman Robert Friedland , and for Ivanhoe Electric Inc. by new Ivanhoe Electric director Frank Fannon. Ivanhoe Electric owns 90% of VRB Energy Inc. and Sparton subsidiary company VanSpar Mining Inc. owns 9.8% of VRB Energy Inc. Hosted each September, Gold Forum Americas is the world’s most prestigious precious metal equities investment forum. The Denver Gold Forum showcases seven-eighths of the world’s publicly traded gold and silver companies when measured by production and reserves. The invitation-only event is attended by the world’s leading specialist precious metal investors as well as generalist institutional investors. Buy- and sell-side analysts from around the world make up the balance of the participants. At the meeting, VRB Energy was positively mentioned by Robert Friedland the Chairman of Ivanhoe Mines, and by Frank Fannon, the newly appointed director of Ivanhoe Electric. Mr. Fannon is the former inaugural United States Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources.
Mr. Fannon indicated that green grid scale energy storage is absolutely critical to integrate with renewable energy for “Green Mining” and that VRB Energy is the leading grid-scale energy storage battery company. He indicated that Ivanhoe Electric may seek to deploy its use at its huge Santa Cruz copper mining project in Arizona .
